Hugin assistant crashes with HDR input images

Bug Description

I selected 32bit-HDR files (created with Photomatix Pro 5) in the file selection dialog of Hugin 2014.
Then I started the Step2 ALIGN. Hugin crashed (reproducible) without any error message.
During alignment some warnings are shown that files with extension .cpp were not found.
Seems to be a matter of file count. With only 3 HDR images imported the ALIGN step does not crash, but then HUGIN was not able to set ControlPoints for any of the selected images during automatic alignment.
With all panorama-HDR-input images (17) selected --> crash.
My win7 prof 64 bit system has 32 Gb RAM.
HDR files were stitched with Photomatix Pro 5, (all built with same stitching params) from Canon 5DMK3 bracketed rows (5 images each) with 21 Megapixels each image. With Photomatix these HDR files can be tonemapped without any problem.
thanks for any hint on solving the problem.
