Bug Description

See attachment.

The Zenith image is upside down, which makes it incredible hard to set control points manually.

It would be nice if the Zenith image would automatically rotate in relation to the image from the "4 around images" one tries to set CPs to.

Or have at least a field and button to rotate it manually by x degrees.

Ubuntu 10.4.1. Lucid Lynx

Operating System: Linux 2.6.32-27-generic i686
Architecture: 32 bit
Free memory: 1874056 kiB

Hugin
Version: 2010.5.0.35d17b75485e
Path to ressources: /usr/share/hugin/xrc/
Path to data: /usr/share/hugin/data/

Do I understand correctly that the pop-up window in front of Hugin is how you would like to have the image orientated?

Hugin currently does orientate images automatically in relationship to the panosphere, and in the case of a Zenith + 4 around as shown in the screenshot it gets the orientation "right" in only one out of four cases.

It would definitely help if the user could rotate the image in the CP tab manually. I would say that 90° rotations suffice. Also it would help to have a toggle to enable/disable the auto-orientation.

Yes.

I seriously doubt that.

All of the 5 images just appear as I shot them. The Zenith by chance always
"nearly" mets one of the 4 images

yes.

For sure its most easy to implement.

Two buttons for manual rotation 90CW and 90CCW would be good for me.
If automatic CP gneration fails on some images it is annoying to add CP manually when images are not in same orientation
I am using workaround that I add two CPs and then optimize and usually images are rotatet then so I can add more CPs better.
