problem confirmed :
when in the user profile page, the brainstorm site consider itself (with right) still in the "tab" brainstorm in the 3 availables "tabs" present on top of the page : Ubuntu QA: Blog Brainstorm Package status
Which made it let's say untrivial to go back to the main page of Brainstorm itself.
the workaround with the banner works, but is not obvious as
- no other link on the page are accessible through pictures
- the banner looks more like a page title as like a clickable picture. (no frame around it, for one)
