Bug Description
Indicator applet is used by several applications like empathy, Google mail notifier applet. Current behavior of the applet is like this (in Maverick)
When someone starts a conversation the mail icon will be green and it will remain like that for long time.
The problem?
1) We have to wait for sometime to see if the green icon is because someone just logged in or if there is a new message.
2) When google mail notifier is installed and if there is unread message (which may not be important) then the icon will remain green and if someone starts a conversation in empathy we are not notified.
