[Objects]->[Rows and Columns] cannot create certain dimensions

first i'll describe what i wanted to do, then the occuring problem:

the plan:
i wanted to visualize the fibonachi sequence with dots for a wallpaper
one dot, one dot, two, dots,....... 89 dots, 144 dots*,.... (til i reach the end of the page)
and from here where the numbers exeed 100 several columns are needed, and their height should be fixed to 100.

the problem:
i was not able to achieve this with the [Rows and Columns]-tool
i typed in the 100, or used the up and down arrows for the numbers, but after creating several tables i realized that they had not the same height.

after playing with it for an hour i couldn't figure out how the 'arrangin' 'really' works, when i am, and when i am not able to decrease the number of colums/rows, when my inputs are accepted and when the program figures out its own dimensions.

with copy and paste it takes you <5min to recreate and 'see' my problem.
