Bug Description

For example, draw something and then open "Fill and Stroke" dialog, there's 3 tabs on it. Whatever the focused tab is(let's say it's tab A), you just need to click another tab and then click back to "tab A", you will see the input texts such as RGB values, line width, are all disappeared. At this moment, the only way to get them back is reopening "Fill and Stroke" dialog. And the "Create Tiled Clones" dialog has the same issue.
I've tested 0.48.3 - 0.91pre4 on differrent PCs, all of them have this problem, it seems it only occur on Windows XP with SP2 or SP3. Hopefully this bug could get fixed, not everyone like windows 7...

update------
An alternative solution:
Windows Control Panel -> Regional and Language Options -> set the "Standards and formats" to English

Side effect: Files and Folders with an Asia characters name will sort randomly in explorer.

Could you please add information about the system language settings of the computers on which the reported issue is observed?

Likely this report is about a known upstream regression in the Windows backend of GTK+ with certain language settings (e.g. zh_CN, ja_JP, and others), already tracked for Inkscape in

Hi~!
Following your clue, I found a solution to this issue. My default system Code page was zh_CN, at first I changed it to English, but nothing could be better. Then I also changed the "Standards and formats" setting to English, which is at "Regional and Language Options" in Control Panels, it worked! I didn't see this issue again even when I change my Code page back to zh_CN. So it's just a matter of "Standards and formats". Thank you very much!

I also tested the 999422 bug you mentioned, but fortunately it doesn't affect my Windows XP SP2 (I've turned my setting back to original). It seems these two bugs didn't share a same cause.
