Bug Description
I'm using 64 bit Inkscape 0.91 on Windows 7. I wanted to use trace bitmap on an image of 16 mb (image size: 10200 × 14028 px), but it takes hours without Inkscape responding.
My system has an amd 8120 eight core processor 3.10 ghz, 16 gb ram.
Is this a bug in Inkscape, or is this Connected to Potrace? On the website of Potrace I read this but I don't know if this would solve the problem: March 24, 2015: Release 1.12. Fixed memory overflow bug triggered by very large bitmaps. Fixed binary file mode on 64-bit Windows. Portability improvements.
