recent files omits crash backups

Inkscape 0.91 r13725 on 64bit Ubuntu 15.10

When Inkscape crashes it luckily creates crash backups.
I'd like to be able to see them listed under "Open -> Recent", even though I never opened them.
There is the danger of picking up the project later and miss that there is a more recent version than the "Recent Files" menu suggests.
It is also annoying to have to fire up the file browser and find the right backup.
