Snap guides to bounding box for group

Bug Description

Currently it doesn't seem to be possible to select a group and then use the corners, sides, midpoints of the "group" as a snapping point for guides.

Would it be possible to implement a means where by you can snap to a 'bounding box' of a group of objects as opposed to the bounding box of a single object?

I cannot reproduce this. If I create a group, then Inkscape will snap to the bounding box and center of the group, not to that of the individual objects in the group. This is different for a selection of multiple objects though, there all bounding boxes of the individual objects are used. Is that what you meant to say?

I create a group in 0.91 and it doesn't snap to the bounding box of the group.

I've attached a minimal file containg a single group of 2 paths.

Expected behaviour: Snapping should be the bounding box of the group.
Actual behaviour: Sanpping occurs to the indvidual paths.

@Diederik, precisely what settings and version are you using?

I just want to confirm the bug in Inkscape 0.92, and I would like to bump the importance to at least 'low' since this is an actual bug in my opinion, not a feature enhancement. For me, snapping the guide to the group snaps to the bounding box centers of each object separately. The other direction, that is first placing the guide and then snapping the group against that works as expected, snapping the group's bounding box center.
