Fonts not displaying

Bug Description
My font samples do not display - they are just basic fonts . My older version would show the sample of the font when I use the drop down.
I should be able to click the down button and see a preview of the font before I choose one.

Bug not reproduced on Windows 7, Inkscape 0.91 (32 and 64-bit versions) and trunk rev. 14880.
Could you please give details on your operating system and Inkscape version? Thanks.
