Bug Description
On the Mac version of 0.91, when you create a textbox and make text with it, it is only "editable" if you do not copy and paste it. Once you do, this becomes a fixed object that can't be edited. Another example of this is if I align a textbox with a rectangle and then copy/paste the group, the duplicated version cannot be ungrouped; the textbox cannot be edited or selected.
On Windows 0.92 Inkscape, this is not a problem. I can copy/paste a textbox and edit the copy; I can align a textbox with a rectangle and copy/paste, and still edit the textbox in the duplicated version. I can also ungroup the textbox/rectangle in the duplicated version

A known conflict between X11/XQuartz default settings and vector applications like Inkscape and Fontforge causes vector information copied to the clipboard to be pasted as bitmap images. The not-"editable" text objects or pasted groups which can't be ungrouped are in fact embedded bitmap images created unexpectedly on paste (select one and check the message in the status bar to verify the object type of the selected object).

and change the XQuartz settings as depicted in this screenshot:

on the mac-os download page at inkscape.org:

The changes of the XQuartz preferences take effect immediately (no need to restart X11/XQuartz or Inkscape), however, earlier copy&pasted objects have to be redone (if the original vector version still exists).
