Page-margin discrepancy on printout

Bug Description

I'm attempting to create a landscape-oriented letter-sized flyer page.

The margins I get when I print to my HP PSC-1310 are nothing like what I
expect - moving things to where they "should" print has counter-intuitive
results. (i.e. moving things off the left-margin resulted in everything
shifting *to* the left instead of away from it.)

On testing, the margins on the page need to be set as if they were LM: 1",
RM 0". This doesn't make any sense.

Could you attach some screenshots, scans, or etc. to demonstrate the problem you're experiencing?

KT - Thanks for submitting this bug report and trying to improve Inkscape, but is this still an issue? It's been quite a while since you submitted it. Have you tried the latest release - 0.46?

If I don't receive any further information in the near future, I will assume this bug is resolved.

I have problems with printout too. It's not solved yet (I'm using svn compilations).
I my case if I try to print a standard page with the default settings (portrait, and A4 size both in inkscape and printer settings) I get a displaced printout (-1.8 cm at the top margin. It starts to print before the paper gets under the print head).

Is this only happening on a particular platform? Can you provide more information?

I just experienced a very similar bug. I choose a new cd_cover_300dpi document. I made some drawing and used a raster picture that overflowed outside the bounds. When I printed, the margins at top and left of the drawing were actually cropped *smaller* than the print zone displayed by Inkscape.

Also, everything that was overflowing the print zone at the bottom and right side was printed (it should not, it's outside the print zone!).

There tests were made on WIndows XP (my spouse's computer) running Inkscape 0.46. Thanks.

The margin discrepancies problem in default size, portrait-oriented pages seems to be fixed so the only problem left is the problem with landscape and different paper sizes, and it's already filed in other bug report.
