Bug Description
It would be useful to be able to search for text in all
the next nodes. It would also be useful to be able to
replace text.
Usual features such as case sensitive/
searching, matching whole words only, plus regular
expressions possibly.

A new "Replace text" extension in 0.46/SVN performs search-and-replace on
the selected text objects or (if nothing is selected) on all texts in the
document. Searching is case sensitive.
I can't close this RFE since not all requested features are implemented
yet.
