Bug Description
Is there any chance that the program could be made to
export to GIF, JPG's... because although they work fine
in Mozilla... in IE, PNGs are commonly displayed with a
greyish background color when they are posted- they
don't have background transparency.
Currently, the only way to acquire the transparency is to
export the file as a PNG then convert it in a program like
Irfanview- and in doing so, some image quality is lost.

If image loses quality when converted from PNG, this means
either (1) the convertor is faulty or (2) the target format
has limitations. For (1), try to find a better convertor.
For (2), Inkscape support will not change anything: if the
format is limited, Inkscape will be affected by that too.
That said, of course we need to have more bitmap export
formats. But your RFE is a duplicate, we already have such
RFEs in the tracker.
