Bug Description

I love this great tool. Gimp is ranked after you in my collections.

But, can I have a question?

How hard is it to make inkscape to do images/works like animated GIF or
flash? is it possible in the near future?

It is being considered, but right now development has to be focused on its
main use: still vector drawing.

There are other bugs and RFE's addressing this (I'll track then down
later). However the quick summary is that the plans are to support some
basic animation features in Inkscape, but leave full animation workflow for
other apps.
