Bug Description

I imagine that it can become difficult to identify and hit the adjustment
handles on high resolution screens. I suggest to increase the size of
symbols like points and arrows.

Would you also like to adjust the settings "grab sensivity" and "click/drag
threshold" in the preferences accordingly?

I haven't so far heard any complaints about the small size of these
elements. When such complaints emerge we will consider it. Not to dismiss
your suggestion, but I guess such complaints carry more weight when they
come from a practical issue in a real world workflow rather than "I imagine
it can become difficult". For now, note that our handles are much bigger
than those in Adobe Illustrator (and some users commented favorably on
that).

How do you think about health for the eyes?
Would you like to support users with visual difficulties?

I am with bulia, the current handles are great. Illustrators handles are
ridiculous. And with Inkscape it nicely highlights the nodes when you are
over them. Perhaps a setting for handle sizes could be made available.
Another thing that could be done, which I have seen in some modeling
programs is to allow selection of the point by just clicking near it rather
than exactly on it, but this might interfere with trying to select small
line segments. At least Inkscape handles this much better than Illustrator,
I hate that program for node editing.

Revision 11390 on trunk extends control resizing to nodes and node handles. Still needs to move on to arrows.

Hello everybody. I've just upgraded to an hi-res ultrabook and I'm currently experiencing some pain in selecting handles in Inkscape (because of their little size on my new screen).
I've found this bug, but i didn't completely understand if the bug has been solved or not.

If so, where can I find the option in the preferences in order to increase the size of the handles?

@alecive - the new option to change the handle size will be available in the next major release (0.91).

@~suv - It works for nodes and node handles. Does it work for resize and rotate handles?

No, see earlier comment by Jon Cruz:

@suv sorry for the late reply, but I was not receiving notifications for this bug and I didn't notice. I'm using inkscape-trunk ppa on ubuntu 14.04, and to date I'm using inkscape 0.48 revision #13432.

Is this option already available in the version I'm using? If so, where can I find it? I didn't get your comment completely: why are you talking about a 0.91 version? I'm still at 0.48.
