Bug Description
I have a workflow where I am just putting a few labels on an image and then saving it.
We have a few older commercial applications that don't take png files.
I'm trying to replace a windows 16 bit application for a gentleman who has it all figured out in Aldus Photo Styler 2.0, but there are no programs that work as easily.. I figured out how I want to show him to do it in inkscape, but it only saves as png, and we're now adding a whole bunch of steps.
The alternative is to set up a virtual machine or other cumbersome solution to make it so his 16 bit application can work..

There should be a simple library that can allow inkscape to export to any number of formats, that's why I'm doing it as a feature request.
