Adding colour to gradient with layer visibility off

Bug Description

If you select a node on a Gradient with the Direct Selection tool, and switch off the visibility of the layer it is on, the gradient line is still visible, so it would be logical if you could use the eyedropper to add colour to the node even with the layer visibility off, so you can select colours from a template image behind it.
