I also agree with @James Jong - I discovered this problem shortly after acquiring a new tablet. It's a shame because the calligraphy tool is probably the most natural to use with a tablet (its response to pressure feels just right) but this limits the user to a certain minimum size of dash/dot which is unnatural.
