What i am missing is some very basic layer functionality for layers:
(I know something like what i am suggesting is already in a menu option "show/hide other layers")
an button in the layers dialog to
- hide all layers
- show all layers
- reverse visible layers (make all visible invisible, and all invisible visible)
and the same for locking the layers.
Since i kinda know how it goes with projects like i know the chance isn't very great that a feature like this will be included anytime soon (always more important issues), so i'm thinking about doing this myself.
I'm a reasonable experience coder (java, c, c++, and some more strange academic languages), so i'm wondering if some dev can give me a no bs assessment of how much time it takes to get familiar enough with inkscape enough to add these features and than of course to add these features ?
I forgot to mention a second request for layers...
And option to combine layers into folders/groups. This makes it possible to hide and show all layers of a particular group which is a must if you work with a lot of layers.
