Printing is not possible with windows 7 pro 64 bit

Bug Description
Inkscape's new for me. So, I've drawn some figures and then wanted to print them out.
Systemconfiguration is Windows 7 Professional 64bit and printer is HP Officejet 4500 G510a-f connected via USB.
After pushing the printing button in inscape the printer seems to get a signal, but that then was it.
Opening the printing queue shows an empty queue.
How can I get my drawings printed from inkscape directly without going via pdf-saving the file and printing from Adobe?
