Looks pretty similar to bug #591986. However, Krzysztof's patch which fixes that bug has already been backported to the Ubuntu package in inkscape_0.48.0-1ubuntu1.

The backtrace is slightly different from bug #591986, so I won't mark this as a duplicate.

@Lars - Have you found a step-by-step method to reproduce this problem?

Yes, I think you are right about the duplicate status. The backtrace is essentially identical to bug #664831.
