Bug Description

If I want to insert a Latex-image (pdf with outlined fonts) from LatexIt (Mac OS) to Inkscape the only way seems to be to store it somewhere and then import it in Inkscape. It should be possible to drag/drop or at least copy/paste.

This might work on other platforms (triggering the import extension for PDF automatically), but drag&drop from the Finder into the current Inkscape document is not possible on OS X (doesn't work for Gimp on OS X either).

What you can do in Inkscape on OS X: drag&drop from Inkscape's own file dialog onto the canvas area. Works for all file formats Inkscape can open, including PDF files, and allows to import several files without calling and closing the dialog for each one separately (just grab a file at its icon symbol, drag over the canvas area and release the mouse button to drop).

Awesome! ( well, not really :-) )
This will save me a lot of work, because my pictures often have around 10 Latex graphics in them.

I am curious: Is there a fundamental Mac OS/X11 issue that prevents drag&drop functionality or is it just not implemented yet?
