Dragging X from the palette bar onto fill/stroke patch makes it black instead of 'no color'

Bug Description

In the palette bar, there is a swatch named 'none' and appears as a reddish X on a white square. Dragging this swatch on the artwork removes the color of fill or stroke. i.e. sets it to 'none'. Yet, when dragging it onto Fill and Stroke swatches in the bottom bar, 'none' swatch assigns black color!

Mac, OSX 10.6.7; Inkscape 0.48+devel r10207

Earlier related reports:
Bug #171178 “"No color" swatch in color palette” (fixed)
Bug #322948 “drag-n-dropping remove color over an object paints it in black”

Possibly the fix for bug #322948 only addressed dropping the 'No fill' swatch onto an object on-canvas?

Thanks for reply, I have edited the bug description to include the
platform/inkscape version.
Sorry for not including that before!

Reproduced with Inkscape 0.48+devel r10208 with GTK+/Quartz (v2.24.4) on OS X 10.5.8 (i386) (i.e. without X11 backend)

Setting bug status to 'Incomplete' -> needs confirmation on other platforms to determine the scope of the issue (possibly limited to Inkscape running on OS X since it was not reproduced on Ubuntu 11.04 in comment #1).

Not reproduced on Ubuntu 10.10, Inkscape trunk revision 10215 and Windows XP, Inkscape 0.48.1 (apparently, swatch drag and drop no longer works with the current trunk revision).

Is this a regression with devlibs r22 and r10215 (i.e. after updating GTK+ from 2.16.6 to 2.22)?

I can reproduce this in Windows 7 x64 SP0; Inkscape 0.48.1-2.

Can't reproduce in 0.48.2 because of Bug #786667 breaking the palette bar in Windows.
