Bug Description
I'm running cpu/io/memory intensive tasks from time to time. So if i am screencasting with kazam while running souch tasks my core2duo and intel gma graphics my laptop becomes super unresponsive and starts lagging. If there would be option for mpeg2/mpeg4 video ouput it would be great.
Currently i use this command with ffmpeg:
ffmpeg -f x11grab -r 20 -s 1328x747 -i :0.0+35,21 -threads 0 -sameq -f mpeg2video video.mp2
...and it works okay.

Thanks for your input. I'll look into the mpeg2 options and gstreamer. If there's a decent encoder available, I can add it to the list of available encoders.
