Bug Description

HOW TO REPRODUCE
    1. Go to <https://launchpad.net/[PROJECT-YOU-ADMINISTER]/+series
    2. Select a series.
    3. Click on the "delete series" option, and accept the deletion.

RESULT
    Launchpad returns a time-out error.

Most of the time here seems to be spent going through the milestones attached to that series and unlinking them from bugs. You could work around this by reducing the number of bugs attached to those milestones first.

This will probably be rather noisy in terms of mail notifications for subscribers to those attached bugs either way, so you should consider whether you really need to do this. Usually we just mark old series as obsolete and leave them in place rather than deleting them. If the obsolete series are getting in your way somewhere that they shouldn't be, then do let us know.
