Bug Description

We need a script that can sanitise the production database so that we can allow developers to have access to a "production data set" for testing.

Hi Tom, we have one already in lib/lp/scripts/utilities/sanitizedb.py. Does that cover your use case?

Wow, we've been looking for one of these for a while now - can you confirm how it's run? Can we do this before loading into the staging DB?

Hi Tom, there's a test in lib/lp/scripts/utilities/tests/test_sanitizedb.py but that doesn't make things much clearer. Stuart is doing test runs for this script and knows more details about its functionality. Do you mind if I close this bug report, since the script is already in trunk?
