Bug Description
Using the canned responses from https:/
Steps to repro:
1. Read a bug report. Recall that it is a duplicate of another bug.
(There are many other scenarios, but this is probably frequent and particularly problematic. Requesting additional info from the submitter is also something I do a lot.)
What actually happens:
2. Open a second browser tab and navigate to the other bug. (Time passes ...) Copy+paste the bug number.
3. Open a third tab and navigate to HowToTriage (perhaps via a bookmark). Find the suggested canned response and copy+paste. Oops, you just replaced the bug number you had on the clipboard. Redo step 2.
4. Browser crashes add to the experience. Attempting to do this on a limited mobile device scores you many bonus points.
What should happen:
2. Maybe a small menu above the "Add comment" box could contain some templates and bookmarks to favorite bugs, vaguely like the folded JavaScript thing for changing the Status of a bug or adding another bug task.
Personally, I have found a suitable workaround for step 3 (using emacsclient with emacs abbrevs for my favorite templates, together with the Firefox extension It's All Text) but it only works on my laptop, not on my phone.
