LP hosts 2 types of distros - ones we publish to disk and ones that exist so people can file bugs on them (not published).
We can trivially add a rename function for the latter. Renaming the former needs to NEVER, EVER happen if it has published packages until we have a way of aliasing the repo structure so it doesn't include the distro name. However, that is a little controversial since it's very desirable to have actual human-readable distro names in sources.list.
