Mate Multi-monitor configuration does not open dialog

Bug Description
The mate monitor congfiguration tool does not like to open from the status bar.
Menu, Search for "monitors".
On the monitors dialog, Check the option "show monitors in panel"
close the monitors preferences dialog.
right Click on the new icon in the notification area that looks like a monitor with a triangular style ruler.
click "Configure Display settings"
At this point I would expect the "Monitor preferences" dialog to appear, but instead I get the "control center".
Note: I am using Mate Control Center version 2.1.5+precise.

I just updated to mate desktop 1.4 from the 1.2 release that was included with linux mint 13, and this was fixed... So it's probably a better idea to issue a small version update...
