Bug Description
Random freezing of mintinstall (version 7.4.4) on Linux Mint 14 Nadia 64-bit version using Cinnamon DE. It freezes at various times and stages of software installation (although mostly when searching for software). Occurs about 30% of the time it is used.

this affects me as well, but appears to be more serious on my computer. Any search query causes mintinstall to peg a processor core at 100%, freezes the mintinstall interface, and forces me to force quit the program. I have tried purging and reinstalling mintinstall, but this did not help.
