Bug Description
Version: Linux Mint Qiana 17 Cinnamon 64-bit
Hardware: Dell Vostro 3750
To reproduce:
Move cursor as far to the right of the screen as possible. The cursor disappears off the right edge of the screen completely. It is possible to move the cursor far enough off the right edge of the screen that it requires a disproportionate amount of leftward movement to bring it back onto the screen again.
Additionally, this bug appears to make it possible to drag and drop any window completely OFF the right edge of the screen so that it is AFAICT impossible to drag it back into view.
What is expected:
It should not be possible to move the cursor completely off the screen (the tip of the cursor should always be visible on the screen) UNLESS one is dragging a window onto an adjacent workspace.
It should not be possible to drag a window completely off the screen so that it is impossible to bring it back onto the screen. I expected that by dragging a window off the right edge of the screen that I would be dropping the window onto Workspace 2, but this was not the case.
The problem always happens.

I believe I can explain the cause of this now - it is the lack of working 3D graphics in my laptop. My laptop has NVIDIA Optimus and it doesn't work properly. When I installed nvidia-prime it fixed the problems with the cursor disappearing and not being able to bump windows to the edge of the screen. However, it had other unpleasant side effects (whirring noise, heat), so I have uninstalled it and I'm back where I started....
