Bug Description
When I close the lid on my Thinkpad W530 laptop, X hangs. This is always reproducible.
Pressing Fn-Space does still allow me to turn the keyboard backlight on or off
The mouse & keyboard are completely unresponsive both in X and virtual terminals (confirmed by triggering the bug when logged into a virtual terminal)
This happens regardless of if I have set the system to do nothing or to suspend when the lid is closed. If I choose suspend from the menu first, and then close the lid, the system is normally responsive after opening the lid back up.
Expected behavior:
When Mint is set to do nothing on lid close, nothing happens when the lid is closed. When the lid is opened the session is still active and responsive.
If Mint is set to suspend on lid close, when I open the lid, the system will prompt me for a login and be responsive.
Mint Version 17.1 Cinnamon 64-bit
I have updated the BIOS to the latest version (2.6.2) which was published 4/16/2015
