ATI Catalyst Control Center (Admin) inaccessible from MintMenu

Bug Description

ATI Catalyst Control Center (Administrative) will not start from the Mint Menu (no detectable action of any kind). It will start from Control Center and the GNOME Menu - with these it will operate as expected: prompt for admin password and open control center with admin capability. Note that the *non-admin* ATI Catalyst Control Center entry *does* work from Mint Menu.

Reproducible 100% over several tries in my installation.

Fully up to date Mint 11 RC 64-bit, Mint Welcome says:

Welcome to Linux Mint

Release: 11 (katya)
Edition: Gnome 64-bit

Yep won't open from the Mint menu for me either but it opens from the Control Center...

Please fix...

Looks like the above user was running RC Katya, I'm running the final release x64...

THANKS

I can confirm this bug in Linux Mint 10 Julia

A workaround is replacing the command to "gksudo amdcccle", and refreshing the menu
