Bug Description

It should be great to have the possibility to describe and filter the events by their content (install fest, conferences, workshop, demonstration, courses, ubuntu hour, geeknik,...).

Having a tag system can do the work, we just add the predefined tags to the event and everyone can see icons or something else to identify the content.

These tags can be used to filter events, to improve SEO, ...

There are global events... so ubuntu hour is one.. you could maybe talk to the LC about doing geekniks... other than that, I don't see how this would be useful. We don't need a million ways to list events.

Ubuntu Hour is not a global event, it's a type of event. The loco council choosed to present it as a global event, but for me an event who start on 1st january and end on 31 december is just a category.

A tag system, or something similar, is just an easy way to see what type of event we are looking at. If an user wants to find help to install Ubuntu this provide an easy way to see the events where he can have help to install it on his region.

We can also improve the presentation on the map. When you click on an icon event, a popup with the name of the event, the time and icons presenting the content of the event.

For the millions ways to list events, I agree now we can see all the events in one page we don't need it. But I can see also the events lists growing fast. Having multiple ways to search events is just a normal evolution in my opinion.
