I would like to be able to send somebody a link to the latest version of an individual file; in this case:
http://bazaar.launchpad.net/+branch/ubuntu/ubuntu-font-family-sources/view/head:/Ubuntu-R.ttf
would work accept that returns an HTML page and not the file itself. Ideally there should be an obvious method, such as "/download/head:", or "+download" or something to allow linking to the resource itself.
(This would allow IS to dynamically pull the latest version via HTTP). |
Symptoms
========
Figuring out the url for downloading a file requires visiting the files page and copying the url.
e.g. for http://bazaar.launchpad.net/+branch/ubuntu/ubuntu-font-family-sources/view/head:/Ubuntu-R.ttf the download url is http://bazaar.launchpad.net/+branch/ubuntu/ubuntu-font-family-sources/download/head:/ubuntur.ttf-20100928071143-jx8zh0fl52889bxt-26/Ubuntu-R.ttf
If there is a more direct URL it is not documented or hinted at in the web UI. |
