lp-grab-attachments: please disable cache

I use lp-grab-attachments frequently and recently noticed that it has been caching all of the attachments under ~/.launchpadlib, which is currently taking up 1.3G on my laptop. I personally don't see a use case for keeping cached copies of these files. Can cache be disabled for lp-grab-attachments? I didn't see an option for disabling the cachedir in the API (only glanced at the docs quickly though), so perhaps this would need to be simulated by using a tmpdir for the cache & cleaning it up on program termination?
