rectangle selection in column view

Expected behaviour
When I left click in an empty area and maintain the button pushed, it should start drawing a rectangle with the mouse in order to select multiple elements

Actual behaviour
When I do that, it *kind of start a file drag-and-drop* instead of drawing a selection rectangle
