Now using the Context Pane does stops this inconsistent spacing behaviour but even then the space left(which I have highlighted) seems to be wasted as you may observe from this screenshot http://

This doesn't happen to me when I turn off the context pane. When I turn on the context pane, and the window is large enough to show the pane on the right, there is a large gap between the last column and the pane.
