just install on ubuntu 13.10 and try to change preferences, channel, close options windows, etc...

I have the same issue on my Dell Inspirion 1545 with Ubuntu 13.10 and even though Ubuntu has constant massive bugs in 13.10, I also use a WinTV-HVR 950Q from Happauge which does both analog and digital by using the DVB-T format to receive. I don't believe that this can be some coincidence or some sort of system issue. It is definitely a bug.
