Is it possible to backport the patch from MCP Pike (https://gerrit.mcp.mirantis.com/c/packaging/sources/nova/+/58031) to MOS 9.x?

Alexander, please describe the impact. The patch set is rather huge, there should be some explanation around it.

Denis, the impact is failure of instance resize operation under some conditions (the details of these circumstances are described in the corresponding upstream LP bug report - https://bugs.launchpad.net/nova/+bug/1805767)

Alexander, I've discussed the possible patch with Vladyslav Drok who has backported it to Pike and he is pretty sure it will take a lot of efforts to backport it further to Mitaka. Given that there is a workaround, the impact is medium and the amount of efforts needed to backport the patch to Mitaka is enormous, I don't see any possibility to backport this patch. I'm moving this to Won't Fix.
