Bug Description
Right now Ubuntu music app does not recognize audio books and podcasts as being any different to music. How should these files be handled?
1. By the title, add indicator, if the file has been played. It should have 3 states: not played, played to the end, played halfway through.
2. When opening a file that has been played halfway through, start playing it form the last played position.
3. [totally optional] Separate podcasts and audio books from the rest of the albums. For example, if there are any files with podcast genre, create album named "Podcast", add it to the beginning of the album list and it opens new album overview, that consists only of those albums, that have "Podcast" in the "Genre" tag. [Also optionally] this podcast album overview could indicate the number of [unplayed] files in the "album".
4. These special files should be deleteable. https:/
Genres "podcast" and "audiobook" are part of extentions of genre tags http://
Hi Rūdolfs Mazurs, thanks for taking the time to file this bug and make Ubuntu better! Podbird is an excellent podcasting app if you want to use an application that is more geared towards that usecase. Sometime in the future the app might be updated such that it continues playing where it last left off (#2 from your list), otherwise the other requests don't currently fit within the project's plans. Try Podbird, it's great!
