Bug Description
Gnome panel keeps crashing after login.
I get a dialog "There was an error starting GNOME Settings Daemon" ... yadah yadah yadah...
cat .xsession-errors shows things like:
_IceTransNAMEDO
...
** (gnome-
The settings daemon crashes for a while and then stops. Then I get a gnome session without panels and pretty much useless. Creating a launcher for gnome-terminal gives me some idea as to what the problem might be.
~/core is left by gnome-panel
