Bug Description

I have "write metadata to file" enabled in my daily build. Yesterday, I did a fresh install of luna beta1 on another laptop and transferred my music in the new installation music folder.

Ratings were not transferred. Shouldn't ratings be also stored in files as a part of metadata?

I had previously rated all of my music in windows and saved those ratings to metadata, now I can't get them back.

Okay, after investigations, It seems that it will need a new library because rating are new standards.
Untargeting from Luna, We'll have to look at it for Luna+1.

I understand that it is important to respect the feature freeze. But,
this can be a very important feature; especially when noise has the
feature to create smart playlists.

I know that this is not a priority for the time being, but it would be worth ensuring some cross-compatibility with other music players when implementing this feature. That would mean that when people are migrating their MP3 files from other music players (e.g. Banshee), their ratings would also be imported across.

This is an important feature to have.
