The track rating is properly read from the file but it is not written if the user changes it.

While taglib (https://github.com/taglib/taglib) supports the rating property, its c bindings does not (https://github.com/taglib/taglib/blob/master/bindings/c/tag_c.h).
Logically, the vapi can't support it either.

A question has been posted to the taglib project (https://github.com/taglib/taglib/issues/455)

Note that a vala implementation of taglib is available (https://github.com/inizan-yannick/taglib-vala)
