Bug Description

I have bzr repository in a path which contains directory with space inside its name. In this repository I can't right click any file and click Open, nothing happens, except "fstat(): No such file or directory". Maybe some other actions doesn't work too. Please handle spaces inside filenames.

Tried to reproduce the bug, but couldn't. I have created a new branch, with a directory under it that contains spaces, and a file under that directory. Olive seemed to work just fine. (This was using bzr-gtk trunk on Ubuntu 9.04.)

Ok, I have repository in directory:
/home/ripper/work/skola/FI MU/projects/SDIPR
I run olive-gtk, go to the directory, right click on annotation.txt and hit Open. Therefore this is the path of the file:
/home/ripper/work/skola/FI MU/projects/SDIPR/annotation.txt
And this is what I get in the console:

$ olive-gtk
/usr/lib/python2.6/dist-packages/bzrlib/plugins/gtk/ui.py:224: DeprecationWarning: bzrlib.progress.ProgressBarStack was deprecated in version 1.12.
  self._progress_bar_stack = progress.ProgressBarStack(klass=widget)
Error showing url: Error stating file '/home/ripper/work/skola/FI': No such file or directory

You see, the error message is ending right at the place where a space is (inside "FI MU").

I am using Olive 0.96.0dev1, standard from Ubuntu 9.04. I don't know if it is different from your "trunk" version.

Found the bug and have submitted a fix through Launchpad. Not sure when it will show up in either Lucid or Maverick, I'm new to the submitting patches game, but hopefully soon.

This fix won't show up in Lucid or Maverick, but it should be possible to get it into Natty.

I forgot to say, thanks for submitting a patch!

Unfortunately Olive is unmaintained at the moment, and not packaged in Ubuntu. So my earlier comment is only valid if somebody packages Olive for Natty.

Jelmer, does unmaintained mean that these simple fixes won't get merged ? And by "not packaged in Ubuntu" do you mean "not in main" or not at all (not in main, universe, multiverse) ?

I ask because I am planning to upgrade to 10.10 but have become rather attached to using Olive as part of my workflow.
