Bug Description

Hi,

In the future I would really like to see OpenOffice.org generate optimized PDFs.

Optimized PDFs are also known as Fast Web View enabled PDFs which rely on a byte-serving capable web server to transfer only parts of the PDF to the client.

This is especially useful for PDFs generated with OpenOffice.org Presenter.

Regards,
Pascal de Bruijn

It seems PDFs can be manually optimized by the commandline tool 'pdfopt', it would be nice, if it could be run using just a checkbox from OOo itself.

Paskca, as you have some knowledge of PDF optimization, it would be great if you could report an upstream bug on that issue and link to it from launchpad.

[This is an automated message.]
There are no new official OpenOffice.org releases in Ubuntu packaging anymore => Won't Fix

If the problem persists, please mark this bug as "also affects project Libreoffice" or "also affects distribution Libreoffice (Ubuntu)" if that has not happened already.

Please leave references to upstream OpenOffice.org bugs in place to allow cross pollination.
