Bug Description

1) Ubuntu 12.04
2) OpenShot 1.4.0
3) dpkg -s libmlt
Package `libmlt' is not installed and no info is available.

The attached video shows the bug, white boxes instead of text (will attach original svg file created with inkscape as well). The first three seconds show the version of the directly imported svg file in openshot and the second part shows how it looks when I export it to png first and then import it.

You should try to update to the last version either stable version 1.4.2 either development version 1.4.3.
See here how to do that : https://answers.launchpad.net/openshot/+faq/1850

Not sure if it's a bug with ffmpeg or the way the svg has been created, but trying to play this file with ffplay (which doesn't open the file at all) results in the terminal output:

1 - After.svg: Invalid data found when processing input

melt opens the file in the player window, but with the same white box.

So it's not something that can be fixed in OpenShot.

Changed in openshot:
status: New → Invalid

Hi there, again :)

This is a nearest bug behaving similiar to what I expirence too, so I comment there in order to not create new bug.

The problem is that I'ev created new title in Inkscape, and when it was just created a logo+text .SVG file - it's ok.

But after I add it to OpenShot with "add title" function, some strange whitebox appeared over first line of text and it persist now when I'm opening the same .SVG in other editors or viewers. So it seems that OpenShot had put this whitebox.

Can this still be OpenShot issue, say, it's doing some changes to imported .SVG in order to make text on the title editable or such?

Changed in openshot:
status: Invalid → Confirmed

workaround : manually edited .SVG in *text editor* and set opacity of the added rectangle to 0.
