Bug Description
Hi,
while it is ok, if partimage-ng uses its own image format, and doesn't natively read and write partimage image files, it makes an upgrade from partimage almost impossible (if you have existing image files).
For this, as small helper utility, which converts legacy partimage image files into partimage-ng image files would be a awesome (I don't think the ability of downgrades is important).

This way it would be hard to say what caused the bug if partimage-ng fails to restore a converted image file. But I agree that it's important to have the possibility to migrate from partimage so I'll take a look at this.
