Bug Description
Since a week i have serious troubles with the pidgin-screenlet in Ubuntu 10.10 on two machines. I had the dev-ppa installed and got informed in irc that i should take the stable ppa. So I purged all packages and even made ppa-purge and installed the stable ppa, screenlets and pidgin-screenlet.
When i start screenlets manager and pidgin-screenlet it appears like it should and shows "pidgin not running". When i start pidgin now an go online nothing changes. When i manually change something in the screenlet (eg showing offline buddies) everything (also the online buddies) is shown correctly. Going offline afterwards is being ignored again.
If I try to start the screenlet from terminal with python /usr/share/
One thing is strange too: although a purged everything and deleted .screenlets-folder in my home the pidgin screenlet appeared at first start in the same place on my desktop where it has been all the time and not the normal start-place on top-left side.
Further information and terminal output in the attachment. I really love the pidgin-screenlet and would be very very happy to get it running again. Of course i can provide any further information and test you may need, just ask.
Hello bauwan,
please check latest version from the dev ppa as I have fixed the dbus.connection :Exception in handler for D-Bus signal
ERROR:
error that I can see in your logs.
